Christmas Time!

We are in full Christmas mode at our house. The presents are all bought (except one) and wrapped and under the tree! Mackenzie is lucky enough to have grandmas that bought her the cute Santa shirt (Mindy) and pretty Christmas tutu (Shanna). So of course we had to do a photo shoot :) Mackenzie went to see Santa this week. I don't have the photos on my computer but she did really well. She kept playing with his fuzzy coat and would look up at him, look at me, then back at him. She never cried but I couldn't get a smile out of her. The picture turned out cute, though.

Her hair is long enough to get into a ponytail! You can't tell in this picture because of her bow, but it's in a pony.

Today we ventured to Bronner's in Frankenmuth. Needless to say, we weren't the only one's who went there. I guess that is what we get for waiting until the last minute! But we were able to find everything we went there to get with no trouble. We got Mackenzie her first ornament and daddy helped her add it to our tree this evening.

Can't Catch a Break!

Well, the past week was pretty much a whirlwind of unfortunate happenings! Last Sunday, we realized our water well had taken a turn for the worst. So we packed up our stuff and Mackenzie and headed over to Mimi and Pappy's house for a sleep over. Needless to say, our sleep over turned into three sleepovers! Apparently, the well people didn't consider us an emergency because no one was home. HELLO?! No one was home because we have an infant and had no water! Anyway, Wednesday night Mackenzie threw up everywhere and got the flu from other kids at the babysitter :( I was so thankful because Jason's mom was a great help to me while cleaning up Mackenzie in the middle of the night. We were able to come back to home sweet home on Thursday and all was well. Until Friday morning when our toilet broke. Thank God Jason's brother was able to come over to fix it while we were at work. I was especially thankful that afternoon because I ended with up with the flu! That would not have been a good situation with a broken toilet! To top it off, my parents came to visit this weekend. Unfortunately, it wasn't too fun of a weekend but they were able to spend some play time with Mackenzie :) So I was feeling pretty puney over the weekend but getting a little better each day. Mackenzie threw up again Sunday night again and had diarrea to top it off. But she seemed better Monday morning, so off to her babysitter's we went. Feeling pretty wiped out after my first day back after having the flu, Mackenzie and I were waiting on daddy to arrive home from work Monday night. What were the first words out of his mouth, you ask? "I don't feel good and I think I'm going to throw up." So off to the bathroom he went and pretty much stayed there for the remainder of the night/morning. I am typically off on Tuesday's so while I am still on the mend, I also had the job of taking care of two babies today! :)  I apologize I do not have any updated photos for this post but can you blame me for not particularly wanting to capture the moments of the past week?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Mackenzie had a good first Thanksgiving. On Thursday, we spent the day with Jason's family. She is getting so big and a lot of fun these days. And yes her hair is beginning to lay down on it's own, can you believe it?! :)
(I also updated the "month to month" post for you to check out her five month pics!)

Then for the weekend we headed to Indiana to have Thanksgiving with my family. She did great in the car again so that made the trip nice and easy.

An attempt to get the girls together. The two little ones weren't too thrilled.

Happy...

...to serious in no time flat :)

What a week...

Mackenzie had quite the week this week. On Monday, her babysitter called me at work to let me know she had been throwing up. I called her doctor and he told me to bring her in. He decided she had a a little virus bug and suggested pedialyte, rest and to keep an eye on her. Wednesday I was called again at work around 4:00 only to be told she would not eat and had not eaten since 10:30 that morning. Her doctor told me to get her to an urgent care. So off to urgent care we went! Nothing much came of it, just possibly a sore throat and congestion. SO, the ending of the week was much better than the beginning. She finally began eating rice cereal for mommy, not just for the babysitter! Here are a few sickly, sleepy pictures of Mackenzie from this week.

Here are some random photos that I have taken of Mackenzie recently:

She has started holding her own bottle

She likes her teething toys

I'm not sure what kind of face this is but I'm glad I captured it

Curious little baby

She started off on her play mat, I started vacuuming and came to the living room only to find her almost to Axle's bed! She's a girl on the move.

Everyone is hanging out with daddy

I was able to get Mackenzie's hair in pigtails!! I was so excited and she was extra cute! :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

We had our first Halloween last night as a family of three. Mackenzie was a skunk. We had around 25 trick or treaters and Mimi, Papi, Roo, Amber, Adalyn, and Jensen came over to celebrate, too! Jason and I were getting things ready for the night and we saw Mackenzie rolling over on her play mat. So that's an exciting milestone for the Halloween night :)

 Jensen was a pirate!
