Fall Fun

Mackenzie has been as busy as ever and continues to learn new words. I'm always so excited when she repeats a word that we just said. It is fun to know she is listening and picking up on what we do and say.   Axle is still her best buddy and she loves rolling all over him and laying on him, giving him hugs. He is such a good dog and takes it all in stride. He chases her around the house and vice versa. She hides his toys, he takes her toys. It's never ending but I'm glad they have a playful relationship. :)
Kenzie and I are on our own this week.  Jason is hunting in Colorado so hopefully I will be able to share some photos from his trip with you when he gets back!
Here's a look at what Mackenzie has been up to so far this fall.

Pretending to sleep...

Not quite ready to get up yet.

Resting...

Don't worry...that is a battery operated candle! Our power went out for a few hours one night. Kenzie liked carrying around her little candle. This was also the night she began NO BOTTLE! I wasn't able to warm up her milk since the power was out so ever since then she is a bottle-free baby :)

Being a paci hoarder!

Kenzie's new thing is getting ice out to give to Axle. She stands at the freezer saying "Ice...ice...ice" and then she tries to climb the freezer, as you can see.

The candy bowl is ready for trick-or-treaters!

Kenzie was "when pigs fly". I made the ears, sewed a little tail onto the outfit and viola...the cutest little flying pig ever!

Jason and I went for our annual stay back at Pokagon State Park for our anniversary.

It has been awhile!

Sorry everyone, it has been waaaay too long since our last post! Obviously, Kenzie has been keeping me busy :) But I wouldn't want it any other way. I thought today would be a good opportunity to update everyone since she had her 15 month doctor appointment today. All is wonderful with our little Kenzie. She is  32 3/4 inches long, 27 pounds 14 ounces. This puts her above the 95th percentile for both height and weight. She had to get 4 shots, 3 were her wellness shots and the other was a flu shot. It seems like the shots gets worse as she gets older, I guess she's more aware of them now. It just makes it extra not fun for her or me, but I do like that I get some cuddle time with her. Otherwise, she is on the go pretty much every waking moment. Here are some pictures since the last post. I have a lot of catching up for you so bare with me if there are quite a few....what can I say, I'm a proud mama.
FYI- I downloaded too many pics to sort through and organize so these are in no particular order.

This and the next few pictures are from her 12 month picture with her bear. Each month was harder to get a good one, at least she is smiling though!

She loved playing in the sandbox this summer. She would alternate between the kiddie pool and sandbox. Back and forth. It wasn't great for the sand and wet diaper situation!

Mom, are these seriously all of my toys?

We went to the park/lake in our neighborhood a couple times this summer

Happy for fair food!

First pedicure!

Someone snuck into the cupboard while mama was making dinner.

Kenzie took a swim class this summer. She actually started kicking her little legs after a couple sessions. She seemed to enjoy it more every week.

One of her favorite play spots...Axles cage.

At the park, playing in the lake.

"Where's the birdies, Kenzie?"

We had a party for Michigan State's first game.

Michigan State babies.

Hours of fun with the water hose with her Indiana cousins.

Her mama taught her right, drink from the hose.

Believe me, she is not deprived in the toy department.

She is doing great at getting the hang of eating her food with a fork.

Trip to the cider mill.

Waiting for the doctor to come in today. "Have a seat and tell me what's going on."
