My Aunt Vickie got Mackenzie this big pink teddy bear as a shower gift so that we could see how much she has grown each month of her first year of life. It's the best idea! It has been great to compare one month from the last. I can't imagine how it will be to see her 12 month photo compared to her 1 month photo. Time is already going by too quickly! I will continue to keep this post updated with her latest monthly photo.

Two Months
Three Months
Here is a video of Kenzie working on rolling over. She is definitely becoming quite the wiggle worm so we're thinking she will learn to roll over soon.
Four Months
Mackenzie had her four month doctor appointment today. She weighs 15 lbs. 15 oz. and is 27 inches long. She is in the 90th percentile in weight and above the 100th percentile in length! She's our big, healthy girl :) She received 2 shots and one oral vaccine so that didn't make her happy. She was back to smiling by the time we checked out though. The doctor ordered her to have x-rays done on her right hip to check it's placement. Since she was breech, he is extra pre-cautious about her hips. So we went to another facility for the x-ray but won't know the results until later this week. She just started on rice cereal earlier this week. She doesn't seem to want to eat it much from me but she gobbled it up for the babysitter on Monday and cried when it was gone. So we'll just have to keep practicing at home! Tomorrow is Halloween so we are prepared to see all the little munchkins at our doorstep. Hopefully the weather cooperates. Although we are staying at home this year since Mackenzie is still young, she will be dressed as a skunk. On the behind is a little heart that says, "Lil Stinker." She loves playing in her activity bouncer and loves watching her surroundings and having people around her. And, yes, her hair is still crazy as ever! Some days are better hair days than others, this day was a particularly out-of-control day!
Her little skeleton nightie glows in the dark! It is so cute.
Smiling for daddy
Five Months
Mackenzie turned five months old yesterday. She is growing up so quickly! I can't believe it has been five months already! She is a happy baby until she gets tired, then she can get pretty crabby. But I guess that goes for all of us, huh? I love when she smiles and shows off her big gummy grin and dimples. She loves her daddy and watches him and smiles when he gets home from work or when he walks into the room. She is rolling all over the place. It seems like we put her down one place then look away and she is halfway across the room :) She still loves bath time. I think she would play with the water all day if I let her. We're hoping she will love to swim and be in the pool! She also loves being in her jumper exersaucer. She bounces all over the place and puts her arms up for someone to come get her when she is done playing. It's so funny. She actually fell asleep in it at the babysitter's yesterday and that is TOTALLY not like her at all. She must have worn herself out!

Six Months
Today Mackenzie had her six month check up. It was 10 days later than her actual 6 month date but with the holiday schedule, today was the closest we could get. She weighs 19 lbs. 8 oz. and is 28 1/4 inches long. That puts her in the 95th percentile in weight and 97th percentile for height. Doctor says she really has no choice but to follow in the genes of her mom and dad :) By the way, her pediatrician is the same pediatrician that Jason grew up with. So he gets a kick out of seeing Mackenzie come in. So she's a big, tall girl, perfectly healthy and perfect to us in every way. She got 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. She cried just as he was giving her the shots and then she just stopped crying and smiled at the doctor! She is growing like a weed and getting stronger every day. She's completely out of most of her 6 month clothing. 9 month fit best and 12 month fit well, too. She is in a size 3 diaper. She has been eating baby food for a little over a month now and she is loving it. We recently hooked up her booster seat so she feels like an extra big girl sitting at the table to eat her food. Around Christmastime she started sitting up on her own. She still topples over but she just smiles about it. She likes to stand at our ottoman and play. She can stand on her own for a few moments but we hold her up pretty much all the time, her legs like to give out. She is not quite crawling yet but she can sort of army crawl to get to something beside her but she doesn't move forward. She has found an interest in rolling over to cords plugged into the wall. She thinks those are extra fun to tug on, we think differently. :) She is a busy body through and through. I think she will start crawling soon enough, she gets bored and frustrated that she can't go to do something or get something she sees. She is already a little handful but we better watch out when she starts crawling!

Seven Months
So apparently time got away from me and I did not get a 7 month picture of Mackenzie with her bear! I can't believe it. But I did add a couple pictures of her during her 7 month time for you to get an update. Mackenzie's last weight and height measurement at the doctor was taken in January. She was 19 pounds, 8 ounces and was 28 1/4 inches long. She began to army crawl this month and also got her two bottom teeth. She still continued to fight off a cold since Thanksgiving and never really got over it. So basically weekly doctor visits and rounds of antibiotics sums up her 7 and most of her 8 month time.
Eight Months
Nine Months
It's becoming more and more difficult to get a still picture of Mackenzie with her bear but we did the best we could this month. She had her 9 month check up this week. She's 21 lbs. 12 oz., 29 inches long and got two shots. The doctor said she is doing great and will be walking soon. We love our busy girl and can't believe it has been 9 months!
Ten Months
Kenzie is one happy girl these days. She loves eating table food. She eats bananas, avocados, pasta, potatoes, cheese, crackers, bologna. Anything soft enough, she wants it! She has her 2 lower teeth and has just gotten 3 upper teeth in and a 4th one ready to cut through. She is crawling and cruising on furniture but doesn't have the confidence yet to stand on her own for too long or take more than a couple steps on her own. She loves walking while holding our hands. She is even more interactive with Axle now. She grabs his toys then hightails it away from him so he will come after her. She absolutely loves being outside. We took her swimming last weekend and she had a blast. We are hoping to sign her up for swim lessons this summer. She sleeps great most nights but here and there she still wakes up. We are in the process of finding a new babysitter. Her current sitter is moving to the west side of Michigan, unfortunately. Mackenzie loves her so hopefully she will adjust okay to the new sitter. Days are happy, healthy, smiley with our pretty baby!
Eleven Months
Kenzie is ELEVEN MONTHS! I cannot believe she will be one so soon. She has really had some big milestones this month. She began walking ALL over the place. She doesn't crawl a whole lot anymore. She no longer eats baby food, completely on table food for over a month now. She is wearing 12 and 18 month clothing. Size 4/5 shoes. She has 5 teeth altogether, 2 lower and 3 upper. She can say Mama, Dada, Uh-Oh, and Deer. She knows the word "Birdie" and she looks and points to the sky, same with the word "Deer" but she is able to say Deer. She has a good eye for birds in the trees, too! She knows the word "NO" but choses not to listen to us most of the time. :) You can guess who she gets her hard-headedness from. Her last name is Spencer, after all. HA! She continues to surprise us everyday. I could barely get a picture of her with the bear because she is so busy. But I did the best I could! :)

great pictures,it won't be long and she will be as big as the bear! Love Aunt Sue
